I don't think it was better than let's say the first 4 seasons of GoT, but it was a lot better than the rest of the garbage that show put on. I think next season will be the best one of them all now that we'll finally get more of the Houses besides just Targaryen. Just do the entire fucking history and end HotD with Robert's Rebellion

It's not over though. There's at least 1 more season, and they seem to be going to 4.

I think it ranks up among the better Game of Thrones seasons, though it obviously wouldn't have been able to do that without their contributions.
