I guess I gave people too much credit here by assuming that saying "Here's a story that's probably fake but people around me who are alt-right seem to be making a big deal about. Has anyone else heard about this or know why they might be saying it?" And that people's first reaction wouldn't be "Holy shit are you serious? Time to drop all these beliefs of mine over something that TC said is most likely untrue and only believed by the most far-right extremists!"
So I apologize to anyone who may have had their life turned upside down and their worldview shattered by this question.
