Bought it for 8$
I never wanted to give it chance due to I heard it has extremely long dungeons and a crazy type of difficulty spike 2/3 of the way. Both of which I really really don't like but it was cheap so I decided why not.
Anything I should know to make the game easier and tips to a new player liek myself besides to overlevel and buy best weapons?

It is peak cringe anime cliches

Dont expect space pirates after the intro. They just turn into generic heroes. They never do anything a pirate would do.

Once you get to the big city area, you will be forced through two of the worst dungeons in that era of gaming. They are back to back too.

There's a move you can spam that'll take care of enemies but I can't remember what it was

Its a late game ps2 rpg that's not half bad, and the cel-shading graphic design should be praised and copied by more companies

Fun game, but a lot of battles do end up as skillspam matches. You upgrade (learn?) abilities with rare items, so always find those if you can -- treasure chests, regional enemy drops, etc.
Take me down from the ridge where the summer ends
And watch the city spread out just like a jet's flame

Jaster's Illusion Sword skill breaks the game honestly. You even get it kinda early on too. It's been about 15 years since I played it probably, but I remember it DESTROYING bosses. The game has its problems, but honestly, I kinda liked it. I recently downloaded it through PS Plus and plan on trying it out again.

I'm not Jupiter but it's unlocked through a skill tree, and you need certain items to unlock it. They're random drops so you might get what you need quick or after a long time depending on RNG.
