It doesn't matter, because with every home a/c I've ever used it's either on or it's off. Setting the number lower has never actually made the air it blows any colder, it just makes sure it always stays on instead of temporarily turning off when reaching the specified temperature (because if it's set low enough, it never reaches that temperature anyway). So I usually have just set it at as low as it will go, because I just turn it off anyway when (if) I feel too cold.Those are shit ACs. Not how it is supposed to work. You know there is usually an auto vs on switch?
