I took a train trip to NYC over the weekend to see a few exhibits of his work, one free at the Nahmad Gallery, another paid by his family's estate (King Pleasure at the Starrett-Lehigh building)
Here's all the photos I took:

The Nahmad one was tasteful, had some cool pieces (the Bueno/Malo one was great, as was the self portrait), nicely spaced out, quiet and well lit.
King Pleasure had more nice artwork and seeing some of his personal stuff was insightful. However as I understand it his father (who started the estate) had a broken relationship with him/abused him, and the sisters (who maintain it) seem money hungry. The layout of the viewing was one of those "one way only, pack in as many people as possible, poor lighting and loud music" type of deals, capped off with a gift shop selling pins, shirts, funko pops, bookmarks etc. IMO a far cry from the guy who would throw people out for asking him to make a piece that matched their couch.
But anyway. If you're in or near NYC, the Nahmad one goes through June 11th I believe.
Very cool artist with a very sad ending.
