Crazy to think Hank was originally gonna be killed off in the pilot. IIRC they liked working with the actor so much they just decided to make him a regular

Season 3... is out?

Oh heck to the yeah. This is out, doom patrol season 3 is out... I'm gonna have lots of episodes to binge and catch up on in the upcoming months

I like how the show isn't afraid to use goofy humor.

*woman asks her partner why she's leaving her while a bunch of dogs chase a man off screen*

I cannot recall the last time I saw a show blend humor and drama so seamlessly and in such a satisfying way

S3 has been great all around so far and Bill Hader is one hell of a director. Those first two eps are fucking amazing. A masterclass in blocking. Dude needs to direct a movie asap.

Also if no one knows because HBO Max sucks at advertising, Made For Love S2 just started as well. First two eps dropped.

Im curious what you didnt like about it, if you dont mind me asking? Pretty much everyone Ive shown this to loves it so Im interested to hear another opinion

you know I actually was a bit disappointed in the first episode of season 3 at first since it was just SO dark and fast paced, and felt like it undid a lot of the character growth over season 2. and now Im really getting thats the point and retroactively really love it. Episode 2 was especially stunning

It's not funny, it's not engaging, the characters have no personality (Gene is alright), everything just falls flat. There's no "substance", no hook or at least not one that really pulls you in
