Got a promotion that comes with like $30k more a year and decided to celebrate. My wife used to work in fine dining so instead of going to a nice place we decided to take $300 and get some steaks and let her pick a good bottle.

Its the most expensive bottle I have had. Im not really a wine person but it was pretty good. Much better than the Trader Joes crap I usually get.

It was really good. Probably the best wine I have had.

We got an $8 and $20 bottle of the same grape to compare it with and it was the best by far but the $8 bottle was pretty good too.

....But ya, you don't need to spend that kind of money to find a good bottle of wine.
