*Note, my computer was decent 10 years ago so none of that fancy stuff.

I've played the portal games. A game like Professor Layton would be an example of something I'm looking for.

I appreciate any cooperation and courtesy in this matter.

You could perhaps emulate those Professor Layton games.

All of them are quite wonderful by the way.

Old school?

The Lost Mind of Dr Brain, The Island of Dr Brain, Castle of Dr Brain, Dr Brain Thinking games are quite similar in nature to what you're requesting.

Not on Steam though.

I've heard great things about The Witness which is currently on sale.

Puzzle Agent is a lot like Prof. Layton I think

Not really my genre, but the Puzzle Agent games were alright.
Take me down from the ridge where the summer ends
