Eel is great. The few times I had torched toro it was to die for.
I'm not picky when it comes to the seafood (no une, no shrimp, everything else is great), just the veggies: no cucumbers or asparagus please.

The rolls have gotten out of hand. The most authentic sushi joints in L.A. often have signs saying no cream cheese, or mayonnaise in our rolls. Some even say "no rolls" although temaki is a thing in Japan.

I just do sashimi nowadays. 20 years now. Sushi has been ruined by the finicky.

Honestly as long as it doesn't have cream cheese I'll probably enjoy it. My favorite joint has a slightly spicy Cajun style tuna they use on a bunch of rolls or just as nigiri and it's fantastic
