Cable is dying, and the only real way basic cable can hang on is by emulating streaming as well as possible.

Tbf, channels like Comedy Central and MTV did binge tv way before streaming was popular. I dunno if that did stuff in order most the time tho.

Nickelodeon probably invented "binge tv", yes.
Still, pretty much every cable channel has decayed into it.

"Appointment viewing" only really exists for sports and local news anymore.
