Tal Thul Ort Amn and Ral Tir Tal Sol are what you want early on. The former goes in a 4 soc sword (Broad or Crystal preferably) to give you Spirit, one of the best caster weapons (it can also go in a 4 soc shield, but that won't be available until Hell when you can find a Monarch).
