Mojito all the way for me. But if I want something a little more basic I'll do a gin & tonic. Rum & Coke is always solid, too.

Negroni is usually my go-to, fallback favorite. I'd also argue that spirit+soft drink isn't a cocktail but I'll save that for another time

I like old fashioned and this one drink at the Toronto Restaurant Byblos called the Geographer where they make a drink with gin, pistachio orgeat, apricot, orange blossom, lemon, egg white and sumac
