The facility I work at still requires masks to provide services so it makes no difference to me.

If the vast majority of people had been wearing their masks from the get-go, sure, start lifting restrictions. But so many people did that anti-mask bull shit that there's no telling which people not wearing masks actually have the vaccine or are just people still on their anti-mask shit.

Getting my second dose next week, but imma probably keep wearing my mask at least for another month or 2.

kate isn't going to release the restrictions until target is 75% reached by county.
around here it's business as usual. requires mask in every public space (regardless if vaccinated or not).

still not allowing pick-up in area (except for subway or that burrito place next to it) for fast food restaurants.

I think its about a month too early. However I'm vaccinated so I don't really give a fuck.

If these people wanna get sick and infect and kill their loved ones its beyond me at this point. Have at it. I've done my part and more for a year and a half.

I got my second shot yesterday and a lot of my anxiety fell off my shoulders with it.

That being said I talk to hundreds of people per month, and I just don't want to take the chance. I already know someone younger than me that passed away from this virus, so I'm keeping mine on for at least a few more months, or when my workplace lifts their mask policy.

What exactly is the new mandate? I thought they walked back the mask regulations and then quickly reinstated them.

Im of the opinion that too many people are refusing the vaccine to get rid of the mask mandate. They should say, when 70% of the population gets vaccinated, we will lift the mask mandate.

That would make a lot of the fence sitters go get the shot. Otherwise, we need to mask up when going out.

They said if you are vaccinated, you don't need a mask in indoor or outdoor spaces unless the place requires it.

As long as everyone has the ability to get the vax why should there be a mandate? If someone doesn't want to take it that is their decision to take that risk. A vaccinated person isn't a risk to another vaccinated person and probably not to an unvaccinated person.

Well that is just cause a private business can make their own rules. If you live in a country where it is available to everyone there is no reason for it though.

Well their loved ones have a chance to take the vaccine as well. So everyone is able to choose if they want to be protected with the vax. So if an entire family doesn't want to get it and they get infected that doesn't effect vaccinated people.
