Every time Ive had one I can slam it down without a drink no problem, which I cannot say for any other chain restaurants biscuits, like KFC, Cracker Barrel, Dennys, etc.

now a good homemade biscuit will still top them all any day, but in terms of mass produced junk the Popeyes biscuit actually feels relatively moist to me

I wanna try red lobster biscuits. Are they really as good as everyone nutting over them makes em out to be?

Popeyes biscuits get really dry if you don't eat them while they're fresh.
It says right here in Matthew 16:4 "Jesus doth not need a giant Mecha."

They're really good. You can get the mix that they use in the restaurants for about a buck or two depending on your area.

It's unfortunate that Church's has the best biscuits, because Popeye's has the best chicken and sides.

Popeye's biscuits are a solid second though.
popeyes chicken is great but the sides suck ass love churchs sides tho

Can't remember ever having a dry Popeye's biscuit. Plenty of overly-powdery KFC ones, though.

Yeah. They are.

Edit: The store packaged mix is about 80% as good, which is still.damn good.

Use real butter and whole milk.

Dont skimp with skim and butter substitutes.

*as an aside all the KFC biscuits I have had are better than Popeyes as well, much more fluffy and moist.

I'm telling ya from personal experience it's pretty much the same. I guarantee they use the same mix. That being said if you have Uber Eats or Grubhub you can just order it from there! 12 of them is roughly $5.50 and half a dozen is $2.50, they are really cheap.

As someone who's had both the restaurant and store bought mix Red Lobster biscuits, they're almost indistinguishable.

truth all around.

Biscuits:
Church's
Popeye
KFC

Chicken:
Popeyes (spicy)
Church's (spicy)
KFC (original)

If you don't do spicy (lol at you) I could see KFC being top.

Mashed potato and gravy: (most important side)
Popeyes
Church's
KFC

Mac and cheese: (2nd most important side)
Church's (basically guaranteed to get some of that sweet top/edge on each serving)
Popeyes
KFC

Beans and Rice:
Popeyes only

Greenbeans:
Popeyes = Churchs
KFC

Corn on the cob:
Popeyes = Church's
KFC sweet corn off the cob

Fries:
This used to be where KFC (potato wedges) dominated... now
Popeyes
KFC
Church's (seriously, crinkle cut?)

Wildcard:
Church's - Fried okra and jalepeno poppers
Popeye's - Cajun rice. It's good, just why bother when they have rice and beans?
KFC - Baked beans. These are even being phased out in many stores.

^ great analysis above, I will say that i personally think kfc is pretty dog shit all around though

Are they dry? I thought the joke was they get hard as a rock the next day. Though I only ever really eat the biscuits, well anything from Popeyes by dipping in the mashed potatoes.

idk, I rarely leave this kinda food sitting out for more than a half hour, but I can see when you order for the family the biscuits would lose their softness when theyre leftovers
