They're infamous for producing deceptively edited and misleading videos and trying to entrap members of the organizations they target. In one incident they tried tricking the Washington Post into posting a fabricated article about Roy Moore's sexual conduct allegations and failed.
This is really all stuff you can read on their Wikipedia article (which by the way is locked so don't give me that "anyone can edit it" shit)
