Apparently there was one last secret undiscovered in the game and people think this might be it. I thought it was interesting.
I'm far from high end, I just know what suits me.
How does someone figure something like that out?
That is strange. I wonder how they thought to do that?
Cool

He mentioned in the thread that he did a lot of reverse engineering. I think he's the hacker guy that found that stuff in P.T. awhile back, so he spends a lot of time going thru game files

Damn, that's pretty neat.

Devs need to hide stuff in their games like this more often, it's exciting to find something new in an old game.

This, and it's nice to have a game with an actual fucking cheat code in it again. I miss those.

Yep. Kinda like the teleport glitch in the gen1 Pokemon games
"Due to various circumstances," some kind of secret made its way into the game. However, they also mention that "going into any further detail might cause some problems," which is why they won't talk any more about it. It should be considered Nier: Automata's "last secret."

damn, it fits the bill, some sort of debug mode related to the assist feature during the final credits? The discovery of this cheat is gonna pretty much kill the idea that someone is sacrificing their complete save for you, since you can generate an assist save in like 10 mins once this becomes widespread.

From what I remember they were camera hacks that showed stuff like the fact that Lisa is always behind you.

Makes me wonder just how many games have things that are never found. You'd think in the era of datamining that almost everything would be found though.
Cherish me
