It always confused me how much pull Geller has with his lawsuits. Dude must have some hard ass super villain lawyer if Nintendo of all companies is backing down from him.

Nice to see him give the okay regardless.

How did the legal might of Nintendo just not crush Uri Geller within a few years instead of having this shit run for 2 decades without seemingly any effort put into ending it?

They had no standing because they were stupid enough to name the fucking thing after the guy.
It's not the end of the world, but we can see it from here.
Does that mean nobody used Alakazam?
Were Kadabra cards worth anything due to this? Cuz I got a grip of them I'm sure.
geller actually lost his case, but TPC stopped printing Kadabra cards anyway.
Boom! That's right, this is all happening! You cannot change the channel now!
In recognition of your overwhelming victory, let's call it a draw.

I think Abra cards post lawsuit all had a special ability that allowed them to evolve directly into Alakazam.

base set ones can be decent (especially 1st and shadowless), but that's not because of this. all base set cards are pretty hot right now.

They only printed alakazam when they had a way to skip over kadabra. one(+?) of the abras had an attack that let it evolve directly to alakazam, otherwise, they only really printed alakazam EX, which didn't need to evolve at all.
