Like, you go ahead and buy it and you get put in a queue. When your number is up, it gets shipped to you. It would beat the fuck out of fighting bots every time new stock becomes available online.

Why haven't they made this an option? What would be wrong with it?

Well then wouldn't bots just line up in a queue?
I got a freakin muscle spasm in my back the gear slipped the air brakes were shot to hell. I mean there was nothing I could do, boom right into the post office

So? You have a better chance than waiting for a time to click on the refresh button, only to be met with "oh deer" or "out of stock" 20 minutes after you pushed the button. At least you'd get to buy the damn thing and just wait for it to ship. Plus, you might not even be available to even try to buy one the way it is at the moment. Like, you might be at work or something when stock becomes available

Someone still has to pay $500 per console, and if a system is setup where people know their place in line, the chances are much greater that the people buying in bulk are gonna be stuck with a bunch of inventory that they cant unload, because Sony is gonna keep producing products as long as the sales are there.

It's actually really hard to defeat those things using just scripts. This guy got around it by having the robot press external interface stuff to mimic the click coming from someone actually using a mousepad.

I'm not clicking 20 traffic lights to buy a PS5. Fuck that. Then I gotta go sit through 20 more of them to get the piece of shit. I'll just wait until they have a HDD that can store more than 3-4 games.
