Quarantine got me actin up so I think I'm gonna buy one to mess around on.

Kinda just looking for any advice or insight for beginners. I'm more so considering a normal skateboard I think, but I'm weighing options. Experiences, price points, brands, etc are helpful.

I used to ride around on a board a lot when i was like 13 or 14. I couldnt even ollie though. I would love to try now that i understand what you're supposed to do but im not buying a board just to do it. If someone doesnt want their old boards, id gladly take one off their hands tho.

I was a "skater" in high school, I couldn't do much beside ollie, kick flip, and grind.

i tried to when i was 14. damn near broke my arm. then the board went in the trash.

I used to longboard a ton, I was super into freeriding which is basically doing slide tricks down hills and hill bombing which is more fun but dangerous

Daddies board shop and Muir skate are the best shops imo. If you're looking for a regular board it might be a good idea to get a hybrid style one that's a bit shorter but has a long wheel base and can fit larger wheels. Regular skateboards are still fun but riding anywhere other than a skatepark is a chore cus pavement sucks with hard wheels.

I'll post links to a few in a bit. What's the most you'd wanna spend?
