Obviously disputing it since it was a scientific article. I guess the complaints about excess moderation on coronavirus topics has some merit afterall. I assumed that was mostly due to the deniers and idiots who want to make things worse but nah.

Sigh.
Very interesting. I am now liking and subscribing to stay up to date on this exciting content thank you.
How. Do. You. Do.
Wow and here I was just bitching, little did I know people were so interested
Though the county had reported roughly 1,000 cases in early April, the Stanford researchers estimate the actual number was between 48,000 and 81,000, or 50 to 85 times greater.

Estimated, you had that it was 50-80 as many times cases, which isn't the same as estimated.
Sorry but fair next.
I just want to be loved
I am also an interested party

Many thanks for fighting the good fight

Your topic should have been Anime Corona.

Every current study is an estimate and non peer reviewed. The shit about masks, everything about fighting the virus. Shutting down talk is not the proper way to respond.

yes but your worded it differently to what happened is my point

No I didn't. And I clarified the cold thing. Getting pedantic just stifles discussion
Dont take this site seriously, its not a great place for discussion on things, gone are the days where we could post without worrying if something we write will get somebody offended and mark and mod.
>_>
Also the entire point of discussing that article was to discuss how statistics surrounding the virus are essentially all guesses and estimates, except it actually has some useful numbers. Its an evolving science, Jesus.

stop being so dramatic, if anything this site's rules are more lenient now than they ever were

TC probably got modded for "this disease is about as deadly as the common cold."

Should have stuck to posting bullshit IHME models with overblown death counts based on faulty modeling data.

Yeah or the memetic flatten the curve graphic which had little meaning to begin with.
Well I'm just going to use this topic to respond to my original

The study is causing some discord in the scientific community now. Apparently it wasn't entirely sound.
TC fell victim to mod enforced political correctness eh?

The mods are inconsistent when it comes to political stuff and some of their public statements gives little reassurance that they are unbiased with respect to politics.
Don't worry too much about it pwn.

Welcome to the long, looooong club of people who have been moderated for news stories or statistics over the years. Everyone thinks it's not gonna happen to them until it does.

True. It is possible to do both though :3

Yeah they upheld it. I guess we are anti-science here at gamefaqs.gamespot.com now. Should probably delete the guides too, those use scary numbers as well.

Anyway whatever, I return to my prior rationale of there being no reason to post here beyond specific game things and private board things.

That is what sucks about political correctness. Supress science and facts to appease the feelings of the easily offended.
The worst part is they can now uphold things without explaining why.

The mods here are little more than woke twitter users now. Dont have to back up anything and just block stuff they disagree with.

Dunno why they even volunteer to do it. You cant put it on a resume, and at least cops get paid.
