Just finished Guardian Ape, and up to this point the only fight that I was completely frustrated by was the Lone Shadow Swordsman, and that was mainly because the camera there was atrocious.

The game doesn't seem as ball-bustingly difficult as it was made out to be. It's easy enough to just mash the deflect button for most enemy combos, at least to this point.

Maybe it's because I've only played Bloodborne before this, so I don't have a lot to unlearn from the other games.
I'm far from high end, I just know what suits me.
he's a lot easier if you plunge attack him
Sekiro is at its most punishing, but also its most fun and rewarding, in NG+ playthroughs where you can give up the charm and you take chip damage from any non-perfect deflection. That really feels great when you get it down.

once you learn that there is no downside to spamming the deflect button it gets a lot easier.
Playing: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, Vermintide 2
I suppose it will all make sense when we grow up
Some reason I assumed you couldn't deflect the Guardian Ape since he was the first enemy of that size. So I beat him without using deflect.

Yeah I think that's what I realized. I just love that there's no stamina in this, I can't stand that mechanic in games.
