I'm just saying I've seen a lot of conspiracy theory topics on CE over the years that involve either JFK, 9/11, aliens, etc etc.

Maybe not from the people in this topic specifically, but I don't think it's fair to judge others over equally as silly conspiracies when you believe in some of your own.

I am of the firm belief that people are allowed to question the obvious.

I don't think anyone who questions JFK or 9/11 is unAmerican. I think it's a valid response to horrible tragedies.

People get on the internet and they choose to believe what they've been indoctrinated to believe. They will seek out the narrative they want or desire.

I don't think people are "stupid" for questioning this event. I think they have a right to question all tragedies. I think the problem is just how anyone on the internet can whip up some theory and they end up sticking for dumb reasons.

Honestly, I don't believe Trump Jr is any more of a fool than any other conspiracy theorist.

It really is a sickening thought. The idea that the FBI didn't take action and perhaps even "let" this event occur just to push a particular narrative? Whew, I pray to god that isn't the case - because if this conspiracy theory were true, I would lose all hope for humanity. So far, there's no evidence to suggest they let this happen, thank god.

Might be evidence they were too busy with something else or didn't take the threat seriously enough though.

I get laughs out of pol too. They can go overboard for sure, to say the least. Some of what they're sharing about this shooting and the activist students doesn't really seem like a red flag or even a concerning coincidence. For the example, the video that David Hogg recorded in Dec of last year at some California beach of a non-incident with a lifeguard? So what? Many of them keep referring to that as if it really means something but I don't see it.

The whole crisis actor thing is horrible. It trivializes a real tragedy, attacks the survivors and the families of survivors, and over all is just in poor taste.

Anyway this is conspericy theorist logic.
1: Tragedy's never happen. There has never been a single mass shooting, no one ever dies in them. It's always actors, the same actors at that.
2: No one dies of natural causes, no that is always murder. Someone who does of a heart attack or a car accident knew too much and had to die.
3: The simplest answer is never the answer. It is always complex. Screw Occam's Razor it's never the case.

There definitely are some out there who believe the whole thing is a hoax. Questioning the elements (motives, connections, contradictions) surrounding the shooting is not the same thing as believing the shooting itself is a hoax
