It's entirely possible for both sides to lose. Liberals have seen a huge undermining of their political goals with Republicans controlling all three branches of government. Conservatives have seen their president endorse a child molester, which, uh, doesn't seem like winning in my book.
They clearly don't care and it hasn't impacted them negatively beyond people who would never vote for them anyway, they could even get away with firing Muellar but for some reason they won't do it
