being drunk all the time makes them unpredictable because even they don't know how they'll act, let alone the ninja
vitamin deficiencies make them tougher and more desperate, which leads to them fighting better. plus once they eat some oranges they're like 10x healthier, like how piccolo trained with his 1000 lb turban so when he takes it off he's faster
