Watched the first two episodes. This is weird and kind of bad. The whole thing with childrens minds inside of androids aint really doing it for me. Hell the xenomorph isnt even the most interesting alien. The little eyeball guy is. Hes cool. Hes my favorite character. He just does little eyeball guy things and is cool.

I had very mixed feelings. The new alien species are mostly really awesome. The cyborg actor is excellent. Timothy olyphant is always good. And the one episode showing the happenstances on the ship is better than most alien movies. However I hate the kids storyline and where it goes. And I found the conclusion overall unsatisfying. It needed to resolve more season one stuff instead of just all being wait for season two.

I dont. I just really like the first 2 Alien movies and Isolation and keep hoping that some new movie or game or show can live up to those standards.

It starts off well enough, but really falls apart near the end imo. Pretty disappointing show overall.

Yeah, it doesn't fail to stick the landing so much as completely forget it should land.

That said, I did like it quite a bit.

I enjoyed episodes 3 and 4 a lot more than the first two. Little eyeball guy continues to be the best thing in the show.

Yup it didn't give any closure, OR set set up a "holy shit, next season is going to be insane" moment. It just kinda stopped.

beginning had a lot of action. made wendy to op towards the end and they should have had her brother get a face hugger. makes me feel like the next season will be fairly lame unless they do some cool flashback episodes where theyre collecting all the different species

I think Wendy and her group are going to be too overconfident in their understanding/ control of the xenomorph. Neversoft logo is going to have it turn on them and probably hijack a ship or send out a signal for an invasion.

That's the entire point of the character and something I feel they actually do pretty well: he is a genius in a lot of ways, but he's also a self-absorbed, over-confident, paranoid dick.
I mean...it's literally in his name, they're not subtle about it.
