It's just another fad dumb phrase young people are using. It shouldn't be word of the year but it definitely isn't cause to think we are in the worst timeline. It was clearly chosen since it's the only way to get young people to look at a dictionary.

I learned that "Brainrot slang" is a thing today, but the only person I interact with who is under 18 seems to mainly not use it (although he does have some worrying newspeak-like speech habits that I can't remember off the top of my head).

I am at least happy that 6 7 should be just about done being cool because old people are saying it now. I heard it like 4 different times from commentators while watching football this weekend.

Personally I've never heard anyone use it but when I was watching a newer season of SWAT and the main character said deadass, I wanted to strangle the writers. The MC is too old to be using young, dumb slang.

I changed my sig largely in response to some especially mindless statements and expressions about AI. It's one thing to have an opinion about something, but to bandwagon hate/fear over it all the time, especially over misconceptions and falsehoods really makes AI appear to me as the lesser of two evils.
Every time you make Actual Intelligence look bad, Artificial Intelligence gets pushed that much harder.

you have to do the first letter and do the rest with asterisks, or do the entire thing with asterisks. anything else is censor bypass

Self censorship is stupid beyond hell when people censor "ass" as "@$$" or self censor lesser swears like "damn" or hell. The hard R was very uncalled for by that person.

Sixty-seven is a word, but it's more a combination of two other words.

Pretty sure that's also a censor bypass. Ever since they added the automatic censor filter, it needs to be able to see the whole word to know it needs to censor it. So censoring it yourself with the asterisks is technically bypassing the site's ability to censor you.

In other words, if the site considers "agesboy" to be a curse or a slur, it will auto-censor it to ******* for anyone who has censoring turned on. But if you type a****** it won't register it.

Since they changed things you're actually better off just writing most curse words as-is. And if the site still won't let you post it, you're probably better off not trying to because it means you're heading into some really questionable territory slur-wise.
