It's moire about getting rid of excess stuff as I don't like having excess stuff in general.
And what I'm saying is that your perception of "excess stuff" is going to be a bit skewed right now, given that you've gotten yourself out from under the thumb of somebody who demanded you be as productive as possible at all times, but in their absence, you've replaced that with pressuring yourself to do the same thing. That kind of toxic productivity takes time and effort to unlearn even once the external pressures are taken away, and as you move through that process, things that you currently feel guilty/anxious about having/doing because they seem like a waste of space/time will stop bothering you, and may actually come to be a source a joy.
Mostly, "I haven't used this for 10 years" is not the same as "I won't use this." Ditching the old clothes makes sense, since if they don't fit you you definitely won't be wearing them. Selling off Runespace and PoE stuff is fair game, because on the off chance you do ever feel like playing those games again, accumulating new stuff is most of the fun and all you're really doing is cutting off the potential for the sunk cost fallacy to drive your addiction to those games (particularly where it's not like either game will be getting new content for which you'll need all your stuff). Games you just haven't played in a while? Less so, particularly where at least part of the reason you haven't played them is because of that toxic productivity that you're starting to move past. It's good not to fall into the trap of saying "I might use this" about something you almost certainly will not use (that can turn into a problem at the opposite end of the spectrum), but unless you have a pressing need for the space/money or are trying to downsize to make a move easier, there's nothing wrong with hanging on to some stuff that you might end up needing later.
A year or two ago, I remember you posted in a topic about valuable games where somebody brought up how much Xenosaga 3 is worth, and you said something to the extent of "Why would anyone give up such a priceless game for just money?", effectively saying - in no uncertain terms - that you valued the experience of being able to play Xenosaga 3 whenever you wanted more than the $2-300 you could get by selling it. Seeing you upend that by listing Xenosaga 3 as something you would have thrown away if not for the fact that it has monetary value concerns me that you're taking this further than you genuinely want to. That's a substantial change, and not for the better because it means something you once profoundly enjoyed does nothing for you. At the very least, I'd urge you to limit this purge to games you never really enjoyed all that much and therefore almost certainly won't be revisiting. That's less likely to leave you regretting your decision further down the line, and there's no reason you have to treat downsizing as an all-or-nothing thing.
