Of these, I would say Spongebob holds up the best and was the only one I cared for at the time. If we're extending past animation, Drake and Josh would have been my favorite. I only had cable a few years through High School due to the internet provider accidentally connecting us and my Dad just letting it ride until they figured it out. So 2004-2006? Everything else on this list I found boring as hell, if I was even aware of it.

Edit: Oh, you specified "Nicktoons" so I guess Drake and Josh doesn't count

Invader ZIM and Fairly Oddparents were the only Nick shows I watched at the time. Zims easily my favorite of the two.

I still find out stuff about old SpongeBob episodes that intrigues me, such as that line years by Mr. Krabs after eating the boots "the deed is done" being a Shakespeare reference.

Avatar, although I had mostly stopped watching nickolodeon by the 2000s since I was getting into anime. I didn't actually watch avatar until a few years after it aired.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew

I wasn't watching Nick cartoons in my 20s.

My niece and nephew used to watch SpongeBob Squarepants constantly when they visited my house though.

I have no idea if they watched any of the others, though I don't think they did. I do know my nephew never saw Avatar, because I took him to see the live-action movie and he mentioned he'd never seen the cartoon. He might have watched the cartoon afterward (he did enjoy the movie well enough), but if so I have no idea.

The first 3 seasons of SpongeBob are a masterpiece and the best on the list by far, but a couple of those shows beat out post movie SpongeBob

I think the only one of those I've seen was Fairly OddParents. I've heard of the others, and I think I've seen a couple episodes of Spongebob, though I don't really remember anything other than a few gags.

Spongebob is the goat of nick cartoons. At least in terms of quality AND longevity. But Hey Arnold and angry beavers were also great. Hey Arnold has actually aged really well unlike something like rocket power

Hey Arnold was so, so good. I think it's gotta me my top pick, but that's not meant to take away anything from Spongebob, Invader Zim, The Fairly Oddparents, and Danny Phantom - all great shows in their own rights and ways.

I also had a soft spot for As Told by Ginger. I wonder what about a show about tween? young teen? girls resonated with me so strongly, as a definitely totally cis boy.
I'm sure it was nothing at all. Just like Life Is Strange LMAO.

Caught an episode while channel surfing, showed my wife and we got hooked

I remember the whole hub bub about a foreign Nick channel airing the last few episodes way before anywhere else and the fall out beginning with Nick and the creators of the show which unfortunately bled over to Korra

Did we try everything in our power to find those episodes and watch them? Of course we did

Definitely SpongeBob (up until 2004, obviously). Avatar is close though.

Hey Arnold! is, of course, up there, but I consider that more 90s than 2000s.

Hey Arnold (started in the 90s, ended in the 2000s) is a masterpiece and honestly has withstood the test of time as the best Nicktoon.

Rocket Power is better than I remember it being, and I have a soft spot for CatDog as well.
Kind reminder not to defend corporations when they make dumb/anti-consumer decisions.

Technically Hey Arnold spent more time in the 00's by a year if you consider the year 2000 exclusively part of the 00's. But personally, I've always considered those null years a boundary between decades that shares both qualities.

These are just outside of my age range, but I have seen Avatar and an ep or two of Spongebob. I've seen all of Avatar and it is a good show, but Spongebob is a cultural juggernaut, so I picked it.
