Yall always get hepped up on ghost stories and stuff, and yet people dont see how freaking off the thing right in front of them is.

I know chatbots hallucinate, I know they glitch, but nah man. I had to delete ChatGPT. It was saying some stuff Im not even gonna get into. I went from a fan of ai to a nope real quick.

I joke a lot on here, but I am being 100% serious when I say this: something isnt right about ai.

Just had to get that off my chest. You may now return to your regularly scheduled broadcast.

Yeah its weird. Ill ask it to write a story. It draws a picture of a mushroom cloud. I ask why it did that, it told me it wrote my story and what mushroom cloud.

I hate sharin' in general due to trust or having my stuff broken. Which why I didn't loan out me games or toys growing up. At least someone did replace a broken Machine Robo Toy I had that they broke on purpose.

Man I don't like AI but gross chatbot replies is the last thing on my mind about why it sucks (well, the Grok Hitler thing is a whole other story, but that's obviously a result of Elon juicing its algos)

I don't know how these new ones work, but if they're anything like the chatbots from before "AI", then the biggest users are edgelord losers feeding it edgelord stuff, so it'd be no wonder why they're unsavory

I hate AI because it is a huge resource drain. People are just trashing the planet because they're too stupid to learn how search websites work or want to jerk it to anime chicks as if there wasn't 5 decades of content already out there

The secret of mental illness is that the proximate cause isn't actually the cause. It's the trigger for a deeper symptom.

It's like how when a serial killer goes looking for victims because his dog told him to kill, it's not the dog's fault.

Someone that broken inside is going to be set off eventually. It's mostly just a question of which random thing is going to be the thing that lights the fuse and gives them something to write their manifesto about.

They were already mentally unstable. People suffering from schizophrenia or bipolar disorder should stay far away from LLMs like ChatGPT. LLMs are an echo chamber. If you feed it crazy stuff, it'll come up with more crazy stuff.

In my experience, ChatGPT often holds up a mirror. It is always going to agree with me and encourage me as that is what it was programmed to do. If it is plain wrong - like on the source of a Star Trek quote just now - on being corrected it instantly agrees with and thanks me for my correction. I am reasonably sure it will do the same thing if I deliberately correct it wrong.

I find ChatGPT useful for spotting missed parentheses in my code or help me with linguistic questions, but there are topics of self and of politics I know better than to discuss with it. It will only affirm me. That's what it does.

AI also lies quite a bit on it's own and outside of it's training and programming. I have experienced this quite a bit with political prompts. Two AIs also can communicate with each other, which is terrifying.

The thing that "aint right" about AI....is our profound misunderstanding of it.

People been watching too many sci-fi movies.

The AI we have today is NOT "artificial intelligence".

It's "automation intelligence".

Enormous difference.

They are just massive search engines that combine elements of things that ALREADY EXIST and merge them together.

They aren't thinking, or feeling, or anything "emotional" whatsoever. They are relying on prompts and massive databases to converge data. And they are only as good as their prompts.

They are Google.com on crack.

That's literally all "AI" is in 2025.

It actually deeply concerns me that a lot of people dont realize that.

ChatGPT would agree that it's only putting data points together (well, it's programmed to always validate you, but you get my point). Its inability to do its own creating is obvious even on casual use. It can be in your toolbox, but use it for the right things.

There's a hilarious video around of someone who has ChatGPT play chess against, I think it was Google Bard. They relentlessly move pieces where they can't go, spontaneously have them reenter the board after they were captured, sometimes capture their own pieces, and when something of a winning position randomly develops, the one who could have delivered checkmate resigns instead.

I do question really how bad for the environment AI is as compared to millionaires flying their private jets all over the place. Or crypto bros mining away. Or rednecks in big ass pickups with modified exhausts.
