Forrest Gump on the surface is a story about a mentally disabled person randomly having unbelievable events happen to him for a while until the movie just kinda ends with AIDS.

Beneath the surface, Forrest Gump is an allegory for an 8th grade US history course.

Honestly it's a terrible movie. It's boomer butt sniffing drivel.

The Academy Awards are paid for. The whole thing is rigged. It was made for narcissists to congratulate themselves. Voters aren't even required to watch the nominated movies. They just go with the one that was better promoted. Producers aiming to win actually dedicate a budget for that purpose. The whole organization believes that animation is a genre, not a medium. They're snobs.

The 94th Academy Awards were downright insulting... actresses from the live-action remakes openly cracking jokes about how only children like animated films... because of course Flee, one of the animated films nominated, is soooo child-friendly, what with it revolving around a refugee from Afghanistan in danger of being captured and killed.
If there are no LGBTQ+ rights, there are no rights at all.
