But yes, it is definitely the most extreme example of an industry that is trying to shoehorn the concept of television ads into a format that is not suited for them. It would be one thing if live streams delegated ad breaks and discontinued their content during these periods, but that is not logistically feasible.
Yeah, I think Twitch introduced picture in picture a while back, so you can still watch the stream during the ad break, and gives content creators better control over ads than Youtube does. Streamlabs also gives you a heads up when an adbreak is coming up when you're streaming.
