Mostly played split screen and Grand Prix but the best single player option seems to be Knockout Tour with the way the courses are designed

Knockout tour has been a lot of fun. Everybody getting brutal with each other lol.

I like the idea behind knockout tour, but in single player it is kind of dull. I've only done a few races, but it has always been me taking the lead by a significant margin during the second race, and it just feels more like a drive through the map than a race. Sure, an occasional blue shell comes my way but i've often gotten a horn, and even if it hits me I'm so far ahead it doesn't matter.

I can't believe they thought long straightaways replacing the first 2 laps of every course justified charging $20 more than 8 Deluxe.
