As a person who has little to no clue about Persona, the series, that told me everything I need to know.

They should remake the first two games too. Don't know why they skipped them.

Basically the "Hey, we're doing it, shut up now!" of teasers

I've really been looking forward to this, but there's nothing to this teaser. It almost looks like a fake fanmade Unity mockup to me.

Same reason Bethesda has forgotten about Arena and Daggerfall. The third game made it accessible and popularized it to the masses. They have no reason to go back to the predecessors.

I have ps4 golden on steam that I've been wanting to try. I don't know if I'll play the remake.

However, from what I've been hearing p3 remake was amazing and better than the og, so I may just wait to play this.

What im excited for is the raido remake game that comes out shortly.

With Golden still fresh in my memory (on a borrowed Vita after my PS2 started misbehaving with my Persona 4 there), this is no real priority for me Persona-wise. P5 is, as I never had the right console but can now get it on Steam, as is the remade P3 because I crave the QOL upgrades at the least. Like being able to control my party.

Couldn't you control your party in one of the re-releases of p3? Maybe the psp version? I could've sworn that I was controlling my party members when I played p3

PSP I suspect yes, but I never played that. I do have P3 FES on PS2 and that one at least does not let you. The party AI is not altogether stupid, but definitely not as tight as you might like especially in boss fights. So this'd be a good excuse to replay it. This was my first Persona and I did not clear it as deeply as P4 Golden a few days later. Did sleep with more women than IRL >_>

There are positives and negatives to each release. Things that are added/changed for the better and others that are removed or forfeited for various reasons. I think it's Portable that adds a female protag that completely changes the story and is regarded as the definitive narrative by fans, but is left out of Reload.

I watched this video a while ago and it's a really good explanation of everything. It gets a bit into the weeds with the details, but I don't believe it's much to spoil without context.

I haven't played any of them yet, but personally I feel like Reload is where I should start. It seems really hard to go back to the old mechanics, Portable removes way too much for me to want to bother with and I really like the sound of what they did to fix the translation with the newest release.

It's funny because it's the narrative working on a meta level!
