It is decent, I just have a hard time justifying $15 for chips and a sandwich. Even if I had Elon Musk money.
I feel like I need to put something here, or else I am one of those weird people who think that having no signature is a character trait.

They're currently offering either two or three months of their Sip Club (free drink every two hours) for free, no purchases required. There's one just a ten minute walk from my house so it's convenient.

I used to enjoy Panera when they first started out, but over time the prices have gone up, the quality has decreased to some extent and the pretentiousness has skyrocketed.

I honestly can't think of a single time in my entire life when I've ever wanted to eat at Panera Bread.

If I want sandwiches there are tons of Italian places and delis nearby that will do great sandwiches. I've even got a combo deli/bakery nearby where they will bake all their bread fresh and then make sandwiches for you.

And for a lot of things they serve, you can make it relatively easily at home yourself, for far cheaper, and getting a much better meal out of it.

I guess if I lived in the middle of nowhere and my only choice was between Panera Bread and some place like Subway, and I just didn't feel like cooking anything, I might see it as an option. But that's never really been the case.

Yeah, the place I live now doesn't really have any options so it's either Subway or the other place that's fifty percent better for twice the price. I've only seen Panera in larger cities with more options. It's very "average". It's decent food that doesn't make me feel like trash, but it's super expensive. And they've screwed up my order the majority of the time I've been there.

I mean like it's never been bad, just stupidly expensive. It feels like their stuff is actually decent quality and relatively fresh too in comparison to similar restaurants.

Their bread is the best thing they offer by far, but it's not worth the price they charge for it considering it's just mass produced frozen dough sold by many companies.

I dont know how it is now but when I worked there 15 years ago, fresh dough was delivered daily. I loathe the place but they did do that

Its just weird.
I worked in a grocery store for years. While I was posting on PotD daily.
I event went to multiple universities and commuted to multiple jobs over that time. I'm not Lokarin who's afraid to go outside or whatever.
Past few years I've been WFH but that's really not my choice when the pay is amazing and the office has 6 cubicles.

Decent is appropriate. They never excite me but I can generally eat it without feeling like crap like I do with most quick places.
