Change names in FFV Pixel Remaster? (PS)

Does anybody know if it is possible to change the names of your party members besides Bartz in FFV Pixel Remaster? I've seen it is possible in the PC version but I can't figure it out on Playstation...

you just select their name in the menu

that might only work on 1 actually

i don't actually remember being able to change anyones name in five, this reddit post says you gotta use cheat engine which is pc only
