Prefer Cruise's movies more liked at least a few of Hank's movies too. Hank's like star power and number of movies he makes seem to have gone down much more than Cruise's compared to years ago though.
I feel like it's pretty even but I'm leaning towards Cruise.

You aren't even really reading my posts; you're just staring at your e-mail client and fondly reminiscing about that hobo you stabbed to death. :P
I don't think I've seen a single Tom Cruise movie. Tom Hanks is consistently great.

Hanks

I haven't seen a lot of Cruise movies
all times and music eastern
I haven't seen a movie from either (unless you want to count toy story, but that was just voice acting).

Neither of them play in movies I give the littlest shit about.

'Cruise'

But only for 'The Mummy', since out of all the classic monsters I would have never thought Universal would devise a female mummy. That's more like something I would dream up.

You mean the Spiderman that ended up with Zendaya but had the worst looking suit in 'No way home'? I never watched the 'Amazing' series of movies, but Andrew Garfield's suit was slick, and I can't say anything wrong about the Tobey McGuire Peter parker.

I've seen more movies with Cruise than Hanks (mostly thanks to the Mission Impossible movies), so I voted for him

I grew up watching both, but I prefer Cruise. Tom Hanks gives me the ick for some reason.
I'm not sure. My movie preferences are based on plot and characters, not actors.

Hanks and it isn't even close. My favourite Cruise movie was A Few Good Men but that doesn't even hold a candle to Saving Private Ryan, Forrest Gump, or Toy Story.

I'm not a big fan of either of their work, but just voted Hanks since I've seen more of his work.

I suppose this but I did enjoy Rain Man over Forrest Gump too.

Feels like I've only seen Cruise in the Mission Impossible movies

Meanwhile I've watched Cast Away, Forest Gump, The Terminal, Polar Express...
Both are in some corny ass movies. Hard to pick. Not a huge fan of either. Green mile is good I guess. As for tom cruise... I guess rain man is alright. Still thats corny too honestly lol
Actually green mile is corny as fuck too lol. Magic man inhales people's tumors tf is that

I think it's sorta connected to The Shinning and Doctor Sleep.

The shinning is a gift some have and given John Coffeys (green mile) gift it was said they are part of the same universe although nothing is confirmed about how John got his "gift".

Edit: Although a fun fact his initials are J.C that is the same initials as Jesus Christ and thus his gift to heal people could be a reffrence to that.

Their careers seem to have followed opposite arcs. Tom Hanks started with comedy and later diversified into other genres while Tom Cruise did a lot of different stuff early in his career and then kind of settled primarily into action.

What exactly do you mean, their movies are corny though , what are criteria for that?

No idea! I never really felt that way until a few years ago. It's just a weird but strong bad vibe. I can't even go back and watch Big or Forrest Gump anymore.

Tom Cruise is a lunatic, he puts on a great face when in public for the most part but the more you learn about Scientology and how they treat Tom Cruise, and how he behaves the more you will think he is bonkers.

He is a pretty damn good actor, and again does a great job in most public encounters but that doesn't mean he is fine.

I realize that I am pointing out Tom Cruise is arguably worse, if your only metric is "I think Tom Hanks is a bit weird."

Here is some "fun" things Tom Cruise has done as a Scientologist, he also tried to sue Comedy Central when South Park dared to make fun of Scientology and him.

And that's what's so weird! I should get the creeps from Cruise, but I get that from Hanks instead. I can watch Edge of Tomorrow, Mission Impossible, Legend, and his whole catalog of films just fine.
I give it to cruise mostly because of Edge of Tomorrow. I do like him in mission impossible too, but edge of tomorrow was just good and my kind of movie. As for Hanks, I liked forest gump but not super into the rest of his films. Both are great actors.

As for how they are outside of acting, that's a draw.
