What's better; a bladeless fan or a filtered tower fan?

I'm always on the lookout for new fans since my current ones keep getting clogged with hair and overheat and die

I heard these filtered fans don't have that problem since it's a lot easier to change/clean a filter than to get an xacto knife to stab at a spool of hair covered in electrical lubricant from the rotor.

Bro how is hair getting into your fan, let alone so much that it's actually clogging it?

I have very long hair so I shed a fair bit... and my fans are on the floor.

bladeless fans are just regular fans but weaker

there's still a spinning fan in them, it's just they then have to blow up into a weird tube with a slit in it

bladeless fans aren't even good for small rooms. Filtered tower fans are fine for small rooms.

Just clean your fans. I do it whenever I need to because it also makes sure you aren't just blowing dust around. It really i an easy fix without needed to buy anything new.

some fans are a pain in the ass to clean

i have a box fan that's excellent, but taking the grilles off is like doing origami, and then taking the blade off requires you to have a socket wrench, then to oil the spindle or get at the motor in any capacity to blow it out requires straight up disassembling it

worth it though, that $15 box fans low is most fans high

yes, that's the problem - the hair isn't in the blades where I could periodically pull it out; it wraps around the rotor
