I never understood why he was "Chance the Rapper" and not just Chance

yeah the big day album he dropped was a huge stinker and then he just never really dropped more music, the album was super ass but i dont think it would have been career ruining if he had ever followed up with something

I feel like that was just a popular naming convention for that scene of rappers starting out at that time. I guess they're going for "Quirky and Relatable"?
