When someone refers to their girlfriend or boyfriend as their 'partner' or 'significant other'
Nothing. All of my hatreds are completely rational and justified.
When someone refers to their girlfriend or boyfriend as their 'partner' or 'significant other'You see, I feel justified in my hatred of those terms because it feels so impersonal and not at all representative of what two people who are in a committed relationship should feel for each other. "Partner" has such a platonic feel to it, and "Significant Other" just sound like a twee-ass made up term from someone who doesn't want to commit. As much as I also cringe over the term, I'd much rather accept "Love/Lover" than any of the above.
"Attention grabbing" youtube thumbnails. (Goofy face, yellow text, arrows, you know the drill.)
There's a specific version of the Amen Break that has a sped-up vocal which sounds like a creaking rocking chair. It irks me greatly:

I hate it when places that are closed still have their open signs on. Not even when Im trying to go there. Just like driving by and seeing a place with their open sign on and theyre clearly closed. I hate thatI've never seen this
I've never seen thisI see it all the time, and theres one store I see it every day when Im coming home
I see it all the time, and theres one store I see it every day when Im coming home
its a nail salon and they have two open signs flashing with all their lights off every night when I drive home from work
and I (irrationally) hate it every night
That's not irrational. That's misinformation!Theres also a sandwich shop next to one of the bars I frequent that has their open sign on after close like.. 30% of the time
Nothing. All of my hatreds are completely rational and justified.
What's something you irrationally dislike?
Oh, trendy buzzwords absolutely infuriate me. For the longest time it was "Unhinged". Now it's "Out of Pocket". And most of the time people don't even use the words right!
Additionally, people who put spaces in front of punctuation. Like, what that fuck is this ?

Or people that use two commas. I don't know what it is,, but I've seen a lot of people do it,, and I don't get itI don't think I've ever seen that. Sometimes my keyboard will double press apostrophes, but I always go back and fix them.
I dont remember either of those ever being trendy buzz words.
Really? You haven't seen everyone calling anyone with an opinion they don't like "Unhinged" in the past few years? Now people are calling it an "out of pocket comment".
Additionally, people who put spaces in front of punctuation. Like, what that fuck is this ?I hate when "People Type Like This.".
And never come across an out of pocket comment. That doesnt even make sense.
I think it's just starting to pick up. I only started seeing and hearing people use it within maybe the past couple weeks. But I typically feel like I'm behind the curve anyways.
I irrationally hate the phrase "It is what it is", it's such a stupid and meaningless phrase that does and says NOTHING to the person it's being said to.
The reason this is an irrational dislike is because I feel the "such is life" phrase is the same but I'm completely unbothered by it.
hate when "People Type Like This.".Which part? The quotes themselves or the incorrect punctuation at the end? Because I know the period is meant to be inside the quotes when ending a sentence.

You see, I'm the opposite. I say "It is what it is" all the time as a way of accepting that a situation can't and shouldn't be approached from a perspective of correcting it and to just deal with it. "Such is life" and "C'est La Vie" not only sounds pretentious to me, but feels more defeatist, at least from the people I tend to hear it from.
I think most people have a phrase they use in a similar way. I tend to gravitate towards What can you do? as a rhetorical question when its clear that you can do fuck all about something so its best to accept it and move on.
Also identical twins who dress the same and intentionally have the same haircut. They don't make any effort to help other people distinguish them and then they get annoyed when you call them the wrong name. Are you speaking about any specific twins or
You think you're special like you have some psychic bond with your twin so you have to dress exactly like them. Do us all a favor and wear a fucking hat.
