you're not wrong
Also, the mods on Reddit are absolutely worse than the mods here on GameFAQs.
I got banned from r/comics for saying that Republicans aren't all monsters; most of them are ordinary people with their own lives and thought processes.ur so brave.
ur so brave.who asked
who askedFighting the good fight.
I'd argue this is something else that depends entirely on which subreddit you're posting onI suppose I should clarify that I'm mostly talking about the "big" sitewide subreddits which frequently appear on the unfiltered front page of r/all.
Fighting the good fight.against what?
against what? Those who think Jeff Dunham is not a good comedian.
Those who think Jeff Dunham is not a good comedian.but I like Jeff Dunham
Reddit has a way to sort discussions by Newest First. It's how you actually see conversations. If you don't do that, you can't complain, because you are part of the problem.Whos alt is this

Go to the sub you post the most on - does anyone recognize you?
Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to sufferingPororin is fear of suffering!
There's your first mistake right there.Yeah, it's just a shame.
For the most part I use my "Home" page, which is nothing but One Piece, Dragon Ball, Naruto, Bleach, Star Wars, and World of Warcraft memes.
And some gamefaqs related subreddits....Very rarely, yeah. Not like anybody posts on those anymore lol
Not like anybody posts on those anymore lolLMAO, true.
You can get moderated on Reddit for upvoting comments that break rules now lol
i guess its always been a rule but they havent been enforcing it until now?
The fuck? Why would they even keep track of that?Because people have been upvoting too many violent threats and doxxing efforts.
Because people have been upvoting too many violent threats and doxxing efforts.
Most people make such posts using throw-away accounts, meant to either be banned or deleted after a couple of days. Those posts still get tons of upvotes, pushing them to the front page. The person who made the post might get banned on one account, but that's not much of a downside on a site with free accounts.
So, instead of punishing the person who made the throwaway account, they will punish the people who allowed the rule-violating post to reach the front page in the first place. That's how you stop things like this.
I thought you disliked moderation on reddit?Complicated. Sometimes they're too sensitive, but those are usually the subreddit-level mods who ban people permanently for small political disagreements.
Which is it?

it's also just not true
i am completely ip and device banned on reddit, there is no making a new free account for me, not even on a vpn can i make a new account and have it not get banned immediately, i have tried.
all i did was nothing. someone else got their account banned for repeated ban evasion while on the same internet my phone was on. i was not a part of it in any way.
and they completely blacklisted every single device on those ips, and any devices the accounts had ever used before along with any new ip those accounts got registered to.
to say they don't ban or that it's easy to just make a new account on reddit has never actually gotten banned from there. it's not gamefaqs, you cannot just make a new account and be fine.
Then it's really on the people making those posts. It wasn't enough to ban the throwaways, though, that's the problem. At this point, the people intentionally upvoting violent or rule-breaking content know what they're doing and they know it's against the rules.

The site-wide rules tend to be more reasonable.
i've been off the internet for a good 5 years, and I came back to gamefaqs actually to find that messaeboard experience of the old days but to my surprise i showed up and see they closed CE and nowhere else really had that kind of energy. I loved it. I miss it so much.
So you like corporate moderators over people who created the subreddits you post in.Half the time those people didn't even create the subreddits they're moderating, and even if they did, they're still modding them in a way that reveals their severe hunger for power.

Like when street-level Reddit mods got a little too arrogant and attempted that absolutely hilarious blackout a while back, where all the wannabe-revolutionary Reddit mods thought they could shut down the whole site with their mod power. They probably forgot that the 'power' they have is just borrowed from the actual site owners and can be taken away at any time. Most of them fell in line after that. The ones who didn't lost all their power.
But yes, when Reddit makes the decision to ban people for glorifying actual violent threats and destruction of property...I agree with that decision. So, in this case, I agree with the site admins over the tantrum-throwing Reddit mods.
Weren't you a community moderator of a user created space?
sounds like someone likes getting trampled on by authority figures.are you legit trying to defend people who upvote violent threats though?
