Football because you dont need to be talented to help your team. You just need to learn how to read a playbook and basically have football intelligence. Look at all the backup QBs in the NFL who are essentially player coaches

I dont understand this logic at all. Ironically this is just like people who would say video games and anime are just for nerds, Youre playing the role of the nerd while they are the jocks, those labels are from a bygone era tbh

Wait, are we young again? Or in our current body?

Because I ran track when I was actually in school (had the varsity jacket and everything). I did the 55m and 400m in Winter, and the 200m and 400m in Spring (I also occasionally ran the 800m at JV invitational meets).

More casually, I played volleyball (mainly as part of charity fundraising events for our French Honor Society), and I used to play pick-up games of soccer with a bunch of my friends on weekends. In college I played pick-up field hockey.

But today? I'm nearly 50. I have a hard enough time getting out of bed in the morning. If this hypothetical gym class doesn't offer yoga or walking (or eSports), I'm gonna fail.

I hated PE class as I got older. We played the same damn game over and over again.

I prefer backpacking and hiking over sports in general. Yes, nature.

I haven't watched anime since 2015 tbh.

?huh?........ it's just a box.
Dance, cheerleading, theatre. If I had to pick one of those, tennis. I had friends on the doubles varsity team and I tried to play with them casually, but holy shit was I out of my league.
I am awesome and so are you.

I wish we had Tennis back when I was in school...

instead it was always volleyball and the balls were always rock hard - kids would have bruised hands and forearms

Assuming we're getting my body back to where it was also, I suppose I could have done more with volleyball, I enjoyed that.
A gentleman will walk, but never run
I coach track and field, so I'm definitely picking that one.

I ran track and cross country in high school. I was one of the slowest runners though
Delicious and vicious, while maliciously nutritious.
I played baseball in high school but I would go back and play tennis nowadays.

yeah, I'm thinking I'm back

Just never was a fan since I like hiking more. Our PE classes blew ass because they never offered any varity other than Dodgeball or Kickball. Many kids ended up getting their teeth knocked out, so they quit dodgeball. That was between year 4 to year 7. Plus I hated changing around people.

Highschool was... okay. I had early PE class and they let students walk and run around the tracks if the weather was good or inside since the gym was large enough.

For real. All the 'jocks' I know are into DBZ or video games or Star wars and meanwhile you still have these geeks making sportsball jokes wondering why no one ever wanted to have sex with them. Maybe it's not the hobby but the personality that's the difference?
BADoglick to the Max!
Also for op, since hockey isn't on the list, football.

I used to play semi pro football (wide receiver technically but mainly special teams. Gunner specifically). I currently play dek hockey but any type of hockey I'm good with

Cross country but swimming is a close second. I go on walks/hikes often and cross country isn't far off that.

Sports are the worst. No wonder I only wanted to play video games. There's nothing more boring than any kind of sport. Standing out in that field was the worst.

Maybe if my dad wasn't so pushy with them I'd be more interested.
How about weightlifting
Ram Ranch... it ROCKS!
Out of the footballs I only was able to play Rugby (which I did) but I would have liked to try american football. Looks like fun just running into each other dressed like a space marine.
So I was standing still at a stationary store...
Swimming this time around because I miss having a pool.
yeah swimming the best option

also what age do we find are self back in school?
Having a goal is good, but don't let your goal depress you. Goals are meant to inspire.
Do we actually have to do well at them? If not, baseball's probably the option that provides the most opportunity to slack off. Half of the game, you swing a bat three times and spend the rest sitting on a bench. The other half, you just chill in a field.

If so, I'm not particularly well-suited for any of those, but I guess track and field provides a reasonably varied experience while also letting me focus more on sprinting and other short-term exertions (exercise-induced asthma means running for long periods of time doesn't work so well).
This is my signature. It exists to keep people from skipping the last line of my posts.
I sucked at sport >.<

I could never serve properly in volleyball, I could never return a ball in tennis, everyone was faster than me in the pool and the track and I froze mid game during a basketball match.

I could occasionally hit a ball during softball, completely accidental, but it was better than nothing
^ Charlie, is that you?
Basketball. I've often wondered how good I could've gotten at it had I been given the opportunity. I was homeschooled so we didn't have organized sports.

I had no interest in any type of sports related to school, and Id have no interest now. So, just went with General P.E. since it was a baseline, practically mandatory thing anyway.

That's why I didn't give an "other" option, you HAVE to pick something because some form of sports, or at least PE, is required almost everywhere.

And because most schools have limited options, you can't pick underwater basket weaving or flagpole sitting because nobody offers it, so I picked the ones that my high school had available. (We also had weightlifting, but not as a competitive sport.)
