You
probably England as Scotland seems to have very little jobs in my industry.

one thing I consider, I do like skiing, it looks like you can do it in Scotland but not near any major cities. Probably better just to live in England and fly to the alps throughout the winter.

but either would be a significant hit to my fun times in the winter as here in Vancouver I can get to the mountain in under an hour.
No clue. I don't know enough about them, much less their differences.

Look, you can keep spouting ignorance all you want but the fact is that the UK has plenty of good food. No shortage of Michelin starred restaurants and significantly more per capita than the US.

Now if the French or the Japanese or whatever want to give the UK a hard time about their food, thats all well and good. But the US has some of the lowest food standards in the developed world, sickeningly suck up restaurant service and a ridiculous tipping culture. Theyre not in any position to be lecturing anybody about food.
England because of ease. My dad was born there, so my transition would be pretty easy, only comparatively speaking

Scotland

I moved here :p

also yeah the food is fine. UK and US people shitting on other people's food is silly. There's very good and very bad everywhere, though in the UK good quality is cheaper at least. I love going to fancy tasting menu restaurants and have also grown fond of the more stereotypical haggis, black pudding, and marmite lol

I even found some decent tacos here, though I miss other Mexican staples (pozole, tamales, decent enchiladas, chilaquiles, chile relleno, mole, etc...). That's the biggest thing I miss, which isn't so bad. I can cook, but sourcing certain things (fresh poblanos and tomatillos) is difficult, though there's a Mexican grocer with dried chiles, masa, and canned stuff.

But anyway lots to enjoy here too. Love how many restaurants have game (venison, grouse, pigeon) and foraging ingredients, and so much fresh delicious seafood. Also samphire is something I never even heard of until I moved here which is neat.

I never understood it. We don't put Garlic and Chilli with everything but why would I? A nice fish (cod for me) and chips doesn't need any of that. Although salt and vinegar is a common option it still doesn't taste bland without it. A good Irish stew with Yorkshire puddings is also welcomed. These are just two examples.

It's probably F- tier. Your country literally considered garlic to be peasant food because it was too cheap. Your entire cuisine is taking a shotgun to your own leg because the queen once saw a poor/Irish man with one. Scones are stale tasteless bread. The queen of England's favorite food was gelatinous beans or something.

I once saw a video of British children eating fried chicken for the first time and it looked like they were about to pass out.

I now find the perfect temp is 15c (59f) and I start getting uncomfortable at 20c (68f) lol. I'm originally from Texas.

I'd say it's more chilly or mild and comfortable being used to it here now with some Baltic cold windy days in the winter.

I thought scones were dry terribly tasting stuff based on having them in the US but I had some here and they're way better than any I had over there. I had one that was basically a sweeter US biscuit (not the flakey kind but the crumbly kind), buttery and moist.

I see that you know nothing of the food available in Britain. What the fuck are you on about, implying that kids dont normally get to eat fried chicken?

Everybody is entitled to an opinion, but the opinion of somebody who knows fuck all about the thing they have an opinion on is worthless.

I cant even get used to england cold weather and i lived here all my life lol. I can take exceptional heat though. Some are just better off in certain temperatures.

Scones are only generally moist and soft when fresh. All scones become dry and biscuity with time. If they were being imported to America, well that would be enough time for them to go dry. They also likely would go off too if there too much moisture in them to begin with for the trip.

Normally I'd put butter and jam on a scone. I wouldn't eat them without as they can be a bit dry unless it's a cheese scone and then I would eat them with just butter if I fancied it.

It is indeed an odd take. We have KFC over here, and I used to work there too. We also have other fast food outlets and even pubs/bars that sell wings and chicken stuff fried.
