I think Armored Core VI is phenomenal. It lives up to the name.

Hardcores will complain that it's not 3rd gen. But they did that for 4th and 5th gen too and these days people love those games.

Should it get a sequel? I don't know, but I'd certainly play the fuck out of it.

FromSoftware is one of the most consistent developers working today in terms of both fun factor and quality of their games. I'd play pretty much anything they put out (until they hit the skids and put out a string of stinkers) but the way they've been going even their worst games are leagues better than most of the stuff out there

NGL I found it really underwhelming and didn't finish it. Every enemy other than bosses was just a tiny little blip with no discernible features who exploded from a distance, had basically no chance of doing any meaningful damage, and required no real thought to beat. Very unmemorable by FromSoft standards. Probably my biggest game disappointment in recent memory.

Even Sekiro got the costume and boss rush DLC so it would be unusual of AC6 got absolutely nothing. I would Day 1 purchase anything that came out as long as it wasn't purely cosmetic or an OST or something.

Personally Last Raven is my favourite Armored Core but I think 6 is excellent and provides a modern entry point to the series for people that are intimidated by going back to the old ones.

haven't played it yet. I was sort of interested when it came out, and it's been on my wishlist to wait for a sale. but each year there are just more games that catch my eye and the discount hasn't been enough to really consider it.

I like From's Souls-type games so I bought ER at full price. but it's not like that makes AC a gem too...
