will alway go with the Decepticons!!Galvatron or Megatron?
The Decepticons have both Soundwave and Shockwave. That's pretty much a win right there.
When I was a kid, I never cried when Optimus Prime died in Transformers: The Movie. But even today I always tear up a little bit at this part:

Starscream was a dick there.
LOVE how Soundwave remained loyal and how Rumble carried his cannon and sat with it
Did you know in the French Dub, Starscream was female?
Starscream was always a dick. It's what made him awesome. That's what I always suspect. Starscream was a diva either way.
Yeah, it was Rumble carrying the gun that always gave me the lump in my throat as a kid. It's like, SO LOYAL.
Of course, that's kind of ruined about 5 minutes later when they toss him out of Astrotrain, but ehh. That's evil for you!
Didn't know that, though I do know they eventually gave him a couple different female versions in future continuities, so maybe that was an influence on that.

Best openings?
I always go by the music, and when I hear the music in my head I'm generally defaulting to season 1. So I should vote for that one. But the season 3 music is probably objectively better, in the sense that it sounds more professional (and is clearly inspired by the movie soundtrack).I been getting into GI Joe. It was way before my time and I had so much fun with the old show and the film. I watched the D.I.C series and it's awful. I been more of a fan of Cobra and The Dreadnoks. Been collecting the Classifed figures as well.
(Though the song from the movie is obviously the best in its own way - the whole movie soundtrack was just fantastic. But it doesn't really fit as a TV theme, so I'd probably ignore it).
But just by the animation, I'd probably have to go with season 2 being the best one. It's kind of the core of what Transformers is in my head. Whereas season 3 feels a bit too heavily influenced by the movies (and even a bit more minimalist), while season 1 feels a bit too simplistic. Though season 1 does have all the really iconic early characters, whereas season 2 does focus on the toy line that was current when it came out (and season 3 goes way too hard on the movie characters).

Of course, after comparing those, now I kind of want to compare the GI Joe intros. Though there you really only have two plus the movie (because the DIC season doesn't count, and will never count). But they actually change their intros more than once a season.

Watching GI Joe as an adult (I bought all the original episodes on DVD and then made my young nephew watch them when he was growing up) made me realize just how good the writing on it was. There were some pretty dark episodes. No Place like Springfield was pretty grim. Roadblock melting really haunts nme and I rarely show fear in media.
Some 80s cartoons I loved as a kid definitely don't hold up in that respect (*cough*He-Man*cough*), but Transformers is actually pretty good, and GI Joe is fantastic for something that was ostensibly little more than a half-hour toy commercial. Most of these I found via Tubi or Youtube which is free in my country. I was born in 2000, but I love old media. I do think GI Joe had the better show. I love Transformers for the lore and characters.

The best part is that one of the characters (Marissa Faireborn) is technically the daughter of Flint and Lady Jaye from GI Joe.I was surpised to hear that. Funny Lady Jaye is one of my favourite ladies, next to Zarana. (Which I named my kitten after.)
In general the Decepticons are more fun to watch and often have cooler designsI liked the Unicron Trio; Galvatron, Cyclonus and Scourge.
Not in the Bay movies tho

Nothing is cool or fun to watch in the Bay movies.I only liked one character design and that was Hound.
The Decepticons have both Soundwave and Shockwave.

I honestly still consider them both better than most cartoons coming out these days. But that's an entirely different discussion.
(Though the cartoons I'll always mourn are the DCAU of the 1990s/2000s. It's a shame that kids today will never have anything as good as BTAS or Justice League.)
Honestly looking at the command structure of the Decepticons, who in their right mind would join them? You could chill with Shockwave on Cybertron.
Megatron being this strongman leader with a long history is the only thing keeping the decepticons together, they don't have a clear line of succession. Meanwhile on the autobots have a stable command structure with a clear line of succession.
Autobots are capable of working in a team and trusting each other meanwhile the only reason anyone does what they're told on the decepticon side is because Megatron kicks their ass if they don't.
You could chill with Shockwave on Cybertron.Boy could use the help. He's a guardian , of an entire planet. He's significantly understaffed.

Granted, all of this only applies to G1, because G1 is the only continuity I actually care about. But still!Only one I won't shut up about either lol.
decepticons are jets and tanks and guns, so they're cooler
autobots are gmc trucks and suzuki motorcycles, boring
Autobots have Dinobots and a Dinobird
Ive been watching a lot of transformers episodes on Netflix lately. The music when Rodimus opens the matrix still gives me goosebumps.
Is there a way to watch the rest of season 4 after it ended in America after 4 episodes?

neither, I like the free independents that can align with either depending on situation

tbh, Starscream has now and again been independent
Headmasters
They are on YT. Headmasters is more childish. Lots of focus on Daniel and Wheelie. Cyclonus and Scourge are demoted to comic relife.
