If you actually want an answer it's because salt water is corrosive. It's really difficult to contain and transport and pump through hoses without quickly ruining the equipment. And the excess salt water can also permanently damage buildings, foundations, and soil. Which may not sound like as big a deal as fires but building collapses are pretty bad too.
Basically it's not as easy as it seems, it's not as effective as you'd think, and it can be almost as damaging as the fire itself. Sorry I know this is a meme topic lol I'm not trying to argue or anything I just thought you might want an explanation even if it's not one you agree with personally
I know i would rather burn to death than have a bit of salt water corrosion on my property, it's clearly the better option of the two.
