What happened to moving in with so-and-so?
FUCK! me and my best bud were charging up at the park this morning I get paranoid and look around the corner and there are 4 fucking squad cars right on the other side of the building just fucking waiting for us.I don't think they'll 'pick you all up' but I get the concern. Police run homeless out of parks constantly, shuffling them from one location to another. It's so stupid. Are there any other green spaces that are still close to amenities where you could stay a bit more hidden? Maybe with a bit of forest or something?
Theyve been increasing their presence here at the park more and more especially since the high school is nearby and so many students walk through when school starts and ends. Things have been bad because some kids smoked some shit in front of one of the cameras they have here and the cops are stupid asses so they think the unhoused community is somehow involved
we went straight back away from the building across a field so they couldnt see us until we were already on the sidewalk outside of the park
we went and visited a couple of my friends right around the corner that stay behind a church bush, and over the wall you can see into the park there were two patrol motorcycles showing up and when I left there were two more arriving
i I think they are trying to pick us all up in one day. They are dramatically underestimating us.

Find one who wants to take you home.
Find one who wants to take you home.Fuck you, that's not funny.
TC I mean no disrespect whatsoever with this, but if youre homeless, is it difficult to wash yourself on a regular basis?
no I have places that I can showerCool. Thanks for answering
Clearly you aren't up to speed on mead lore. It was absolutely funny.
Lore or not, joking about being raped by cops is in pretty poor taste.Wait what? That really happened?

What do you think happens when cops take homeless people home with them? And how consensual do you think that is when the implicit threat of "otherwise I'll arrest you" is looming over the whole exchange?Your postulation that their reasoning to help a person off the street is for sexual or personal gratification reasons under force is appalling and that you would assume I was making a joke about that is equally insulting. A very dark mindset. There is good in the world.

A cop can be a decent human being, honestly trying to help others. Just like I'm a grocery and decent human being honestly trying to help others.

I'm sorry you have such a negative attitude about a person because of their job.I don't inherently distrust police officers - I'd observe the same thing with a doctor, nurse, teacher, etc. Plus this isn't really a trust thing. It may represent a conflict of interest, it may introduce legal ramifications if something goes wrong, it doesn't 'help' the individual in the long-haul...I'm not going so far as to say that it's inherently evil or bad, I'm just saying that it's not necessarily 'help'. Or it could be help, but misguided, or irresponsible. I'm saying this as someone who has let a homeless man sleep in my basement that I met through a restaurant I worked at. That was about 10 years ago.
Personally, if I was homeless and a law enforcement officer offered be a place to live without strings. I'd take it.
Single cops might be the population best equipped to reintegrate those without homes.
