Good work. Weight loss may take a while, but a permanent change in calorie intake tends to have a slower but lasting effect. I'd always take it over a crash diet giving quick results that vanish when you revert to your normal diet. Of course in the case of alcohol, weight may be the least of your concerns to begin with.
I'm not at zero, but very low, as I live alone and never drink alone, and in company I tend to stay at one glass if I drink at all. Restaurant, sure, as I am never the driver. I think I am at two times this year for that, a glass of wine at my birthday dinner and my first half glass of sake at a work lunch at a Japanese place. Basically, the alcohol industry cannot survive on the likes of me.
