Doesn't it have a million sub-genres that are alive and well? Not sure what is meant by "rock n roll" exactly.

It could mean multiple things honestly. I'm sure the people who made songs about it didn't have same the same definition for it

Everyone knows rock attained perfection in 1974. It's a scientific fact.

As far as Im concerned its been dead for about 2 and a half decades. You may feel differently and thats okay.
