The first one I recall playing was the Mega Drive/Genesis, which my family got when I was 2, however we had an Atari 2600 as well.

I was fortunate to have an Atari 800 as a kid instead of a 2600. The games were SO much better. I mean Pac-Man on the 800 LOOKED and SOUNDED like Pac-Man, not like that horrible abomination they had for the 2600.

Not sure what I played first, Genesis or SNES. Both were a permanent fixture on the TV for years that I inherited from my parents
"I, Garland, will knock you all down!"
Regardless it's Nintendo but it depends what you mean by "mine". My first was NES but it was my parents, the first that was actually mine is the Gameboy color unless you just want to count my own systems not counting handhelds which is then the Gamecube.

it was technically an n64

but we also had a snes, an nes, some atari, a colecovision, and a intellivision

they weren't "mine" though, even if i was the only person to play them

i don't honestly know why we even had them, no one used them, and when i did try them, it was usually through coercian and had a parent of sibling play with me, but they were all terrible at them so i don't think they had ever played them

We can at least credit the 2600 with first referring to the monsters as ghosts, to cover up the fact that they flashed for no other reason than that memory did not allow for more than one to be visible at the same time, so frame by frame each got their turn.

We had an Intellivision.
"Mom, was I in a wreck?"
My grandparents had an Intellivision II and a NES. I mostly played the former because they had so many games for it. I was 3 the first time I played with them. A year later, I first played with a SNES and a Genesis at my babysitter's house. The following Christmas, I got my own Genesis. That was the first console I owned.

It must have been my fathers' Gameboy. One day he sent the N64, yet that would count as the second.

I got an NES and a Sega Master System at the same time, so tie between those two.
