Week 2 of working out every day

Poll of the Day » Week 2 of working out every day
I spend maybe 30 minutes lifting and then I'll take a hike for 2 hours. Sometimes I do the same muscle group twice in a row, and if I can't do that exercise fully my body lets me know pretty quickly.

Before, when I went twice a week, it was a burden to get to the gym. Now something has clicked in my brain and I get really agitated if I can't do a workout. It's not even about the gains to me, I just think it feels good. It really replaces having to think about things with your brain.

I have a gym in my apartment complex. If you can't get into it then I recommend you get a home gym set because having to drive 15 minutes to a gym was a big hurdle. I mean really, how much have you wasted on gym memberships at this point anyway?

Edit well.... if you're rich, maybe... like, very rich, home gym sets are $6000.

Ive reached a point in life where a personal trainer is necessary. Now that my competition days are behind me, I find I lack motivation. I can still muster up enough to get to the gym, but without somebody keeping me accountable once I get there, Ill slack off.

I normally train 5 days a week with my personal trainer.
You don't need a home gym. You can do a lot with a few hundred dollars in dumbbells or kettlebells. I think I have maybe $300-$400 total in weight and I get a great workout in. Don't balk at basic calisthenics and aerobics and yoga. You can get a good workout with literally no money invested

More important to be consistent and disciplined with your routines than to drop a ton of money on equipment. Even when you feel dead to the world make sure you set aside 20-30 minutes to do something so you stay in your routine. If you feel you fall short one day because you're tired or lazy, make it up the next day, but do all you can not to skip a day

Tulips on your organ.
I've skipped a couple days but only when my body was really sore.

Today I did a 30 minute workout and a 2 hour walk. Then I got home researched and did some
basic calisthenics

I then got frustrated that I could no longer work out and here I am.

I would post a before pic (for "before/after 6 months of working out" pics), but I'm already kind of muscular, and I already started. Those aren't good unless you start off pudgy.

Day... idk. But after taking a break day I started to notice that things seem lighter than they used to. I was trying to find something heavy at work and wondering why they all seemed so light.

I just tried this for the first time... this hit some muscles way better than any of the machines did I think, I feel very sore in a very different way. Looking up "full body workouts" on YouTube probably gets some great results.

Idk why but a week ago I did 20*3 sittups and now I can barely do 20. It's like those muscles are taking much longer to recover. Or they're just constantly getting hit by other workouts.

There's a guy in my apartment's gym who is frankly doing it all wrong? He's about my size/muscle mass if not slightly smaller, and he does 4 times the weight, just very quickly, and far fewer reps. I wonder if I know enough to tell him, or I should mind my own business? He's there literally every day, I don't think he's going to see any results. I've seen big muscle guys use 1/3 that weight. Also he spends 2 hours on the exercise bike before working out. All I know is that he's not lifting right.

You need time to recover. I wouldn't recommend working out literally every single day, and especially not after only being used to working out twice per week. If you're still sore, you probably shouldn't exercise those muscles until they feel better.

I've done an adapted version of the P90x routine on and off for several years, and I've really committed to it over the last year and a half. I never do "full body workouts" personally, instead focusing on different parts of the body on different days. I typically workout 5 days per week, but sometimes I do a 6th workout (extra cardio) if I feel up to it.

I kind of exaggerate. I also only do 5 days a week. If I have a day where my body is telling me "no" I listen. Also, I started with no days of working out. But yeah, I feel good.

I would do full body workouts since I'm afraid I'm going to miss a muscle that's just not going to develop. You know when you see someone who obviously worked out one muscle waay too much and another not at all, making them look disproportionate. I don't want to be captain biceps. I might just not develop any routine yet and do a lot of everything.

My biceps are at 13 inches now, which is mediocre for someone who is 6" tall. But that's also 0 fat at all. I still feel pretty good, though.

That one workout that I posted kept me from working out for 4 days because it really hurt my triceps. After that I was able to do it again no problem.
